Communications Scriptures

Each of these scriptures teaches how we must diligently be kind to one another, basically in my opinion. It teaches how to speak kindly and not to offend with our words or tongue. I particularly loved the scripture that compared our mouths to a fountain that cannot produce sweet AND bitter water, just as our mouths shouldn't speak anything bad if we are to always speak kind words to each other.
My overall impression I understood from these is that if anyone were to speak anything bad to someone else, they would be prideful. That, I believe, is one of the key problems in the world and what I have seen from my reading and studying the Book of Mormon. It was a principle downfall throughout the history of the Nephites. Therefore, if any unkind word were to generate, it would be lack of humility. This makes me think of what is written in Alma 5:28. It's pretty powerful and emphasizes the importance of stripping ourselves of pride, just as President Clark talked about last week. I believe that is key to much better communication amongst ourselves not only as humans that co-exist here on this planet, but also as we are all equal sons and daughters of our loving Heavenly Father.
